Well hello!
My name is Claire and I live in the frozen north of the United States. I really like sports like field hockey, lacrosse and especially skiing. If you ski, you are absolutely required to talk to me! xD

My favorite school subjects are English (although my English teacher is absolutely insane), French and European history. I'm not an artsy person, but I'm also not a geek. And I actually like school. Just not the test taking part. x)

I also really like politics. I love the hype, the competition (although I am not a competitive person at all) and the descision making. I literally go crazy during the month of November while the elections are happening. I'll be sitting in front of the TV flipping through all the news networks, have my laptop on with The New York Times, Politico and several other sites in fromt of me. It's pretty great. xD

I currently have one pet: a bear-dog. She's actually a dog, but she slightly resembles a bear. xD She's a newfoundland and she's absolutely adorable and really fun to snuggle with.

Two of my favorite things are satire and sarcasm. I think satire is hilarious. It just makes slight nudges at things that are absurd. My favorite example of sarcasm? The Colbert Report. I love that show with a passion and if you're curious, you can watch it here.

I have a pretty average fashion sense. Skinny jeans are my favorites and I love wearing dresses. Especially gorgeous dresses. :) Another thing I love is CONVERSE. Love them. I have some bright blue low tops, yellow low tops and black high tops that were my mother's from the '80s. :)
On that note, I love the '80s. The ridiculous fashion, the hilarious antics of Ronald Reagan and the music are all of my favorite things.
